How to Test
Preparation of Test Solutions
- Remove the 3 vials from the large test tube.
- In now empty large test-tube, add 10 ml. of the sample solution to be tested.
- The solution is now ready to be tested
Conducting the test
- Add all the liquid content in the clear vial with the screw-on cap (reagent 1) to the sample solution in the large test tube
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube carefully by turning it up and down
- Add all the liquid solution in the clear cap vial (reagent 2) to the solutions in the large test tube
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube carefully by turning it up and down.
- Add the liquid solution in the blue vial (reagent 3) to the solutions in the large test tube
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube carefully by turning it up and down
- Allow the mix solutions to stand for 5 minutes
- After exactly 5 minutes add all the liquid contents in the yellow cap vial to the solutions in the test tube.
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube carefully by turning it up and down
- Wait 1 minute and check the resultant colour of the solution in the test tube to the colour chart provided on the box.
Interference - The presence of the following metals may interfer and affect the result:
Chromium (III) above 0.1ppm; chromium (II) above 10ppm, iron, nickel, silver and copper all above 50ppm
