HMT CHROMIUM TEST KIT
Number 24 on the "periodic table" of elements
Tests the presence of ions of Chromium to a high degree of accuracy to
detect contamination in the body and on a wide range of materials in your environment
Preparation of Test Solutions
- Remove the the indicator stick and small vial from the large test tube
- In the empty large test-tube, add 5 ml. of the solution to be tested
- Check pH of sample solution to make sure it is below pH 9.0
- The solution is now ready for testing
Conducting the test
- Pour the contents from clear-cap vial (colourless Reagent 1) into the large test-tube containing the sample solution to be tested
(Note: the pH of this mixed solution in the large test tube should be below 1.0)**
- Put the indicator stick into the mixed solutions the large test-tube for one (1) second. Please make sure that the reaction area of the
indicator stick is completely immersed into the mixed solutions
- Remove the indicator stick from the large test-tube and wait for 15 seconds
- Compare the colour on the reaction area of the indicator stick to that of the colour strip provided
**Note: there is enough acid in reagent 1 to cause pH of the sample solution to be 1.0 or less provided the sample solution does not have a pH exceeding 10.0 initially
