HMT SILVER TEST KIT
Number 47 on the "periodic table" of elements
Tests the presence of ions of silver to a high degree of accuracy to
detect contamination in the body and on a wide range of materials in your environment
Preparation of Test Solutions
- Remove the indicator stick and small vial (Reagent 1) from the large test tube
- In the empty large test-tube, add 5 ml. of the solution to be tested
- Using the pipette, add 2 drops of Reagent 1 from the clear cap vial to the solution to be tested in the large test-tube
- The solution is now ready for testing
Conducting the test
- Put the indicator stick into the solution to be tested in the large test-tube for 1 second. Please make sure that the reaction area of the
indicator stick is completely immersed in the solution
- Pull out the indicator stick and shake off any excess liquid
- Wait 30 seconds and compare the colour of the reaction area of the indicator stick to colour strip provided - Value 1
- If there is no colour change in reaction area of the inidcator stick, put the indicator stick in the solution to be tested in the large
test-tube again but wait for 12 minutes
- Pull out the indicator stick and wait 30 seconds
- Compare the colour change of the reaction area of indicator stick to the colour strip provided - Value 2
- If there is still no colour change the indicator stick, put the indicator stick into the solution to be tested in the large
test-tube again but wait for 110 minutes
- Pull out the indicator stick and shake off any excess liquid
- Wait for 30 seconds and compare the colour change of the reaction area of the indicator stick to colour strip provided - Value 3
Test Interference:
The test results can be affected by the presence of ions from copper and iron.
