pH Indicator

Measure the pH state of uour body?

Understanding pH
pH (potential of hydrogen) is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution
. It is measured on a scale of 0-14 (see image above). The lower the pH the more acid the solution is and the higher the pH the more alkaline (or base) the solution is. When a solution is neither acid or alkaline, it has a pH 7 which is neutral

Acid Alkaline Balance
An overly acdic condition can be very harmful. It weakens the entire body system and also suggests the presence of toxic heavy metals. It gives rise to an internal environment conducive to diseases as opposed to a pH balanced environment. A balanced environment enables the body to resist diseases. The body generally maintains adequate alkaline reserves to meet emergency demands but if they are depleted it leaves the body weakened. It is therefore essential to continually test the pH state of your body and replenish the alkaline reserves by consuming the right foods as well as maintaining a good digestive system for maximum absorption of nutrients consumed.

Test with pH indicator
It is recommended that you test your pH levels and state of your body regularly to determine if your body's pH needs attention. By using the pH indicator you can quickly and easily find out. This can be done in the privacy of your own home with results that is almost instantaneous. You need to test both your urine and saliva regularly, if not daily, until you regain the recommended pH balance

Testing urine pH
The results of an urine test may indicate how well the body is assimilating minerals, especially calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. These are called the "acid buffers" because they are used by the body to control the acid level. If acid levels are too high the body will not be able to eliminate acid. It must either store the acid in body tissues (autotoxication) or buffer it. It does this by borrowing minerals from the body's organs, bones, etc. to help neutralize the acidity. If left unchecked this mineral borrowing action may result in osteoporosis.

For the body to function well and properly the pH of urine in the morning should be between 6.0 - 6.5 and in the evening between 6.5 - 7.0. The best time to test the pH of your urine is about one hour before a meal or two hours after a meal. Test your pH at least two days a week.

Testing saliva pH
The results of a saliva test may indicate the activity of digestive enzymes in your body, especially that of the liver and stomach. This reveals the flow of enzymes and their effect on all of the body systems. If both your urine and saliva have acidic readings, it is referred to as "double acid" and indicative that the body is too acidic and something needs to be done quickly to rebalance the pH.

Generally, saliva pH should not be below 6.8 and best at 7.0 or higher. It shows that consumption of minerals and vitamins are adequate. Studies have shown that low saliva pH is linked to poor nutrition and indicative of most degenerative diseases, such as calcium deficiency of aging and others like osteoporosis, arthritis, heart diseases, etc. Terminal cancer patients generally have a low saliva pH, as low as 4.5.

The best time to test your saliva is when you wake up first thing in the morning before doing anything else. Do not even brush your teeth. You can also test your saliva two hours after a meal. Swallow your saliva twice before collecting to test to make sure that no food is present in the sample saliva used for testing. Do a saliva test whenever a urine test is done.

It is important to know that true health lives in an alkaline state.
